New-build family home set within existing garden plot
With planning permission in place, the plot was bought by a residential developer with a view to making the most of the existing permission and constructing the house for resale. Working closely with the client, we made significant improvements to the layout and external design before producing the technical information to enable it to be built, as well as overseeing the approval of numerous planning conditions from the Council.
As a four-bedroom detached dwelling on a tight site, much consideration was given to its position within the site and its surroundings. Creating a connecting glass corner between the dining and living areas, which could be opened up completely by way of two sets of bi-folding doors integrated the external patio into the heart of the home, as well as providing a visual link between the spaces.
